Slimness

Meanwhile, you want to lose weight. If you fell in to that category of metabolic resistance that I have just been discussing, then exercise can be tremendously important. You are going to need every edge you can get not just the dietary edge. It has been calculated that you could lose 15 pounds a year just by doing thirty minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week.

After all, each mile you walk burns a hundred calories. It does not sound like much, but those miles add up. Moreover, even modest quantities of exercise build muscle mass, especially if you have been sedentary, and the cellular structure of muscle is so constituted that it burns more energy than do your fat cells. That is true even while you are being inactive.

Therefore, a person who exercises is slowly but steadily shifting his body toward greater energy consumption and therefore greater slimness. This too, is a form of metabolic advantage, and I hope you will seize it.
